24th-Oct-2008 09:23 am - FAQ
- What are your items made of?
All of my charms and jewelry are modeled in cold porcelain and glued with La Gotita glue (cyanoacrylate). Some items may contain silicone.

- What is cold porcelain? Do I have to take special care of it?
Cold porcelain is an easy-to-work-with material similar to clay. It's basically made of corn starch and white glue, and for this reason it shouldn't be exposed to water for long periods of time. What does this mean? It means that you can walk under the rain with cold porcelain accesories in your hair, but you might want to avoid swimming with them.
Since cold porcelain is an organic material, it is more environment friendly than polymer based clay or resins.

-
Do I have to take special care of my stud earrings?
Actually, yes. Organic clay means bacteria may grow if it gets moist for long periods of time. This means that you can wear your earrings for many hours, but it might be better not to wear them 24/7, as skin secrets oils and dead skin may accumulate. Please, don't wear these studs if your ears aren't 100% healed.

- Everything looks so tasty! Are the items edible?
Cold porcelain isn't toxic, neither is the strog glue I use (unless you set it on fire, only the fumes are toxic). Still I strongly advise not to try and eat any of the items. Please keep them away from small children, specially their mouths. This doesn't mean older children can't use the items as play-food or doll accessories.

- How long does it take for the orders to arrive?
It takes around 7 to 14 working days for shipped orders to reach their destination (sometimes more, sometimes less) depending on where you live.

- Do you take comissions?
Of course! If you want something that isn't listed in the catalogues just ask me and I'll do my best to make it for you! This includes different combination of items, different colors, etc.

- How can I contact you/place an order?
You can post a message here, PM me if you're a LJ user or you can send an e-mail to antares_chan(at)hotmail.com.

- How come you don't charge Paypal fees?
I started working with clay because I was stressed and it worked wonders! Since all I do is mostly therapeutic I win anyway, and  I don't need to charge every cent. I'll  keep making stuff whether I sell it or not, so I try to keep prices as low as possible and not stock what I'm not going to use.
24th-Oct-2008 08:50 am - Payment & Shipping
Payment: I accept Paypal, bank transfers or money orders. Since I live in South America concealed cash is not an option. Mostly because it would take forever to arrive, and I don't think postal services are that trustworthy.

Shipping: Since items are usually very small, you can order several and ship them all together for the same price. Shipping is U$6 for the Americas and U$7 everywhere else for a tracked package up to 100 gr.
Items will be carefully packed so they'll be in perfect condition when you receive them.
I ship from Buenos Aires, Argentina, so bear in mind what it may take for your package to reach you.

Tracking: The prices listed are for certified packages, so you'll always receive a tracking number.
I'd like to remark that some postal services either don't recognize the tracking numbers provided by Correo Argentino (like USPS) or their online tracking services aren't really functional (like Correo Uruguayo's, apparently). Still, I'd like to say that Correo Argentino's tracking numbers work as proof of shipping and can be tracked HERE until packages leave Argentina (sorry, but Correo Argentino only tracks locally).

Customs: Since items are really small and really cheap it's unlikely you'll have to pay any customs fees. Still, I always label packages as "gift" and the stated value is US$5 or below.
If you have any special request regarding how you'd like your package to be labeled, feel free to contact me at antares_chan(at)hotmail.com.
